-
Ensure the hydraulic oil in the band saw machine is filled to the required level. Apply a layer of engine oil to all sliding and rotating parts.
-
Install the saw blade onto the machine. Adjust the tensioning device (by turning the handle on the left side of the saw frame) until the saw blade is properly tensioned. Simultaneously, adjust the limit switch contact so it just touches the stop iron and is in the activated state.
-
Fill the coolant tank with an adequate amount of coolant.
-
After completing the preparations above, connect the power supply, ensuring the grounding is standard and reliable. Turn on the main power switch (located on the electrical control box) and start the saw for a test run. Correct the wiring according to the rotation direction indicated on the nameplate, while listening for any abnormal noises. During operation, allow the saw frame to descend automatically until the saw blade is about 0.5–1 mm below the worktable. The limit switch contact should hit the stop block, triggering automatic ascent. Check if the machine automatically stops when the saw frame reaches its upper limit position. Repeat this test three times consecutively. Also, during operation, adjust the tensioning device to a slackened state so that the limit switch contact moves away from the stop block, cutting power and shutting down the machine. Repeat this test three times consecutively.
-
Check the lifting and lowering cylinder mechanism. Verify that the raising and lowering of the saw frame are reliable and smooth.
-
Check the clamping and unclamping cylinder mechanism. Ensure clamping is secure and unclamping is smooth and flexible.
-
Adjust the speed control knob to position 1 (low speed) for operation, then adjust to position 2 (high speed) for operation. Repeat this test three times.
-
After the main motor power switch is turned on, the water pump should start simultaneously. Ensure the coolant system operates normally. Adjust the valve and check if the coolant flows smoothly.
-
After completing all the above preparations, load the material, clamp it securely, lock it in place, and proceed with a trial cutting operation.
