Maintenance and care of band saws

In order to ensure the good operation of the band saws and increase the service life of the band saws, pay attention to regular maintenance during use.

1. During use, you should pay attention to observation at any time to check whether the operation of each running part is normal and whether there is any abnormal sound. If there is any, you should find the cause and eliminate it in time.

2. A large amount of iron filings are generated and accumulated on the work surface and saw wheel screen during the chip cutting process. They should be removed in time to avoid blocking the saw teeth, affecting the chip cutting effect and the life of the saw belt.

3. Check the cleanliness and oil volume of the coolant and hydraulic oil frequently to ensure sufficient oil and liquid supply to avoid blockage of hydraulic components and abnormal operation of the band saw.

4. Lubricating oil should be added to the guide surface and lubrication points, and grease should be added to the passive saw wheel bearing once every six months.

5. After work every day. The band saw blade should be loosened to increase the service life of the band saw.

6. The lubricating oil in the turbine gearbox should be replaced regularly, generally for half a year.

7. When the band saw machine is not in use, the guide rails and the processing surface should be oiled and sealed to prevent the working surface from rusting.

8. In order to improve the use effect of the band saw machine blade, each time a new saw blade is replaced, it should be run-in first, that is, the first few cuts should be cut at a low speed and a small feed amount. After the burrs on the tooth tip are removed, cut according to normal chip parameters.
